Be Your Own Cheerleader

Stop waiting for people to celebrate your victories and cheer you on as you work toward your goals. Be your own cheerleader. Stop taking everything so personally and self-reflect on how to be the best You and how to stay positive and happy. Who are you feeling should cheer you on or pep talk you besides yourself? If your partner or someone in your life that is your pep talker, your cheerleader, the one that helps you stay on track is not available or busy be your own cheerleader. You can not expect someone else to cheer you on. Look at that person’s life, are they busy, do they have their own life? YES! We all get one chance at life and we are all working toward something, so stop expecting them to be your cheerleader. They are being their cheerleader! Get it! Ah ha, a 💡 light just lit up. Give them a break, YOLO.

Keeping your spirits up and cheering for yourself when people belittle you and what you’re trying to do can be challenging. When you face challenges and setbacks be your own cheerleader anyway. Give yourself permission to unashamedly love yourself.

Self-affirmations help me stay positive: I am Lovable, I am Love, I Can, I Will…. Another way is staying in the present moment. Taking on one task at a time, life is full of thousands of tasks and it’s easy to feel overwhelmed, angry, exhausted, and irritated, I feel like running away. That Fight or Flight kicks in! When I feel anything but my usual happy-go-lucky self, I talk myself off the ledge if you will. I self-reflect, and I get to the root of the problem. I self-redirect, so I stop beating my head against a wall If what I am trying is not working. Sometimes I stop and breathe in and out deep and self-love talk: You are doing the best you can, stay in control, stay professional, stay tactful, God in heaven help me. I pray constantly and include God in my plans.

What is Your Why

Remind Yourself what your Why is. What You’re Trying To Achieve,Your Goals. The harsh truth: no one is going to care more than YOU, about your dream. While, if you’re fortunate, you will have emotional support. No one will understand more than you why you want what you want. If you are a visual person a fun way to see your goal is make a Vision Board. Set yourself daily reminders of where you want to be. You need to know what your end goal is and just why you want it.

Celebrate Your Victories

Celebrate each small victory- no matter how small it seems. If it matters to you, it matters. If you don’t celebrate your victories, why should anyone else? Take pride in your achievements. If you don’t believe in yourself who will?

Treat yourself when you achieve something when you put in the time and effort to achieve something- reward yourself. It could be a night out on the town or eating your favorite ice cream. Dance to one of your favorite songs!

If you have someone who understands what you’re trying to do, then count yourself blessed. The right people in your life want to achieve the same goal or share your passion. This will keep your spirits up, and you can be a cheerleader for people in your life that you love.

Self Approval

It is so easy to care about what other people think about you. We fall into the trap of seeking approval from people in our life. The truth is, that no matter what you do even if you follow your path, the one that has been laid out for you. Someone is going to disapprove of your choices. What better way to be your cheerleader than to focus on doing what you can to achieve your own goals and happiness?

Cheers 🥂 to being My Own Cheerleader
